Been today for food we have not been for a long time so decided to try it again. Long wait for food when it arrived no cutlery so had to wait for staff to polish it whilst our food was going cold,food not very good , no soap in mens toilet, staff on phone whilst waiting at the bar to be served Needs new management to rectify this .
To be honest we have been told it had gone down hill, so we decided to go & find out for ourselves. Firstly they told us there was NO CHIPS AT ALL, so my friends had to have SWEET POTATO CHIPS. My Husband had to have a CORN ON THE COB & I had a Beef Sunday Dinner. The Yorkshire Pudding was hard, the Vegetables also weren't cooked through & the Beef wasn't even sliced it was just a dollop of meat in the middle of my plate very peppery & came with a small pot of Gravy. Unfortunately, not enough for me otherwise the best of my dinner was the ROAST POTATOES, they were divine!!!! Service was very good too.

I have enjoyed a pint here and an occasional meal between meetings... the place always seems to be buzzing and the decor is good. Christmas decorations are nice and football matches can be watched. If you sign u you get all sorts of seasonal offers for everyone, even kids specials.
No management of this place. Kids running in and out leaving door wide open on a cold afternoon. Then when brought in they were kicking a football about in the dining room with no parental control. With sizzling platters being carried around there is going to be a serious accident one day. They show cod and chips on the menu but usually they can only offer cheap fish. Used to be a brilliant pub but has gone right down.
